An educational event on anti-corruption issues was held in the city of Penjikent, organized on the initiative of the regional department of the Agency for State Financial Control and Combating Corruption of the Republic of Tajikistan. This was reported by the press center of the Agency.
The meeting was held at the Republican Museum of History and Local History named after Abuabdullo Rudaki and was timed to coincide with the International Museum Day. The event was attended by employees of cultural institutions of the city of Penjikent, representatives of the anti-corruption agency and other interested structures.

The Agency's employees presented reports on current legislation in the field of combating corruption, spoke about the state anti-corruption programs being implemented, as well as about methods of preventing offenses and corruption risks in cultural institutions.
Special attention was paid to the need to improve the legal and anti-corruption literacy of cultural workers and the population as a whole. The current threats of extremism and terrorism were also discussed, and the importance of strict compliance with the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan "On the Regulation of Celebrations and Ceremonies" was emphasized.
Following the meeting, its participants noted the importance of such events for the formation of an anti-corruption culture in society and strengthening the principles of transparency and responsibility in professional activities.
