Prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation in the field of industry and new technologies were discussed at a meeting between the Minister of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan Sherali Kabir and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Tajikistan Ji Shumin. This was reported on Sunday by the press service of the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The parties exchanged views on key issues of developing Tajikistan’s industrial potential, implementing joint investment projects, and expanding trade and economic ties between the two countries.



During the negotiations, special attention was paid to the issues of attracting Chinese investments into industrial and technological clusters of Tajikistan, as well as cooperation in the field of digitalization and the introduction of modern technological solutions in domestic enterprises.
Sherali Kabir noted the positive dynamics of Tajik-Chinese cooperation in the industrial sector and invited Chinese specialized structures to take part in the first International Textile Forum and Exhibition of Textile Equipment, scheduled for July of this year in Tajikistan.
Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their mutual interest in further deepening the strategic partnership and strengthening friendly relations between the Republic of Tajikistan and the People's Republic of China.
