On May 26, the Chairman of Khatlon Region Davlatali Said made a working visit to Farkhor District as part of the implementation of the instructions of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon. The main purpose of the visit was to study the socio-economic situation, identify the problems of the local population and monitor the progress of construction projects, the press service of the regional administration reported .
During the trip, the head of the region visited the construction site of an additional educational building at comprehensive school No. 5, designed for 1,240 students. According to information provided by responsible persons, construction began in 2020 and continues as planned. The total area of the site allocated for the facility is 3.96 hectares.



By now, 49% of the construction work has been completed. Of the total budget of 26 million 970 thousand somoni, 13 million 153 thousand somoni have already been spent. The new building is designed for teaching in two shifts and includes 28 classrooms and specialized rooms, administrative premises, laboratories, a library, a canteen, an assembly hall and a sports hall. The latter is 18 by 24 meters in size and is designed for 100 spectator seats.
The building consists of four interconnected blocks, the main one being a three-story building. Foundation and roofing work has been completed in buildings A and B. In 2025, an additional 4 million somoni is planned to be allocated for the completion of wall laying, window installation, and roofing from metal trusses and sandwich panels.




Work on improving the surrounding area is actively ongoing at the facility: decorative and shade trees are being planted, lighting is being installed, landscaping is being done, and a comfortable environment for students is being created.
Speaking to the builders and local authorities, Davlatali Said stressed the importance of timely and high-quality completion of the work, especially on the eve of the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan. He also noted the need for personal involvement of leaders at all levels in the implementation of social development programs and an exemplary attitude to the duties performed.
