The President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon sent a congratulatory message on the occasion of Youth Day, which is celebrated annually on May 23. The head of state wished young citizens health, happiness and success in serving the Motherland, emphasizing their key role in the development and prosperity of the country, the press service of the head of state reports .

“We view youth as a huge force for achieving the creative goals of the state and government,” the president noted, emphasizing that it is the young generation that is the reliable support of independent Tajikistan.

Emomali Rahmon noted that since the first years of independence, the country has been consistently implementing a state youth policy aimed at the comprehensive development of young citizens. During this period, thousands of educational and sports facilities have been built, youth centers have been created, and large-scale investment projects in the field of education have been implemented.

The head of state reported that today there are 48 higher education institutions in the republic, where more than 214 thousand students study. In addition, about 42 thousand young citizens are studying in prestigious universities in 42 countries.

“The creation of presidential quotas and scholarships, the establishment of the Ismail Somoni State Prize, the holding of national competitions and festivals – all this is a clear indication of the state’s support for young people,” the message says.

The President also recalled that 2020–2040 in Tajikistan have been declared the Twenty Years of Development of Natural and Exact Sciences, and 2025–2030 will be the Years of Development of Innovations and the Digital Economy. In this regard, he expressed confidence that the country's youth will make a worthy contribution to the implementation of scientific, technological and educational priorities.

The head of state particularly emphasized the importance of patriotic education of youth in the context of an unstable international situation. He called on the younger generation to honor national values, preserve historical memory, be vigilant and responsible to society and the state.

Emomali Rahmon expressed his firm confidence that the youth of Tajikistan will continue the path of creation, increasing the achievements of the independent country and strengthening its international authority.

"I congratulate you, happy children of the Motherland, on the youth holiday! I wish you health, success and new achievements in the name of the bright future of Tajikistan," the head of state summed up.
