A delegation of the Agency for State Financial Control and Combating Corruption of the Republic of Tajikistan took part in a consultation meeting of the Asset Recovery Interagency Network in East and Central Asia (ARIN-WCA), which was held on May 21 in Baku (Azerbaijan). This was reported by the press service of the Agency.
The meeting was also attended by representatives of law enforcement agencies from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, as well as employees of the regional office of the UN Office on Drugs and Crime, which oversees Afghanistan, Central Asia, Iran and Pakistan.

The meeting participants summed up the results of the Network's work for 2024, discussed the results achieved and outlined areas for further cooperation in the context of combating corruption and the return of assets illegally transferred outside the country.
As was emphasized during the meeting, the return of assets obtained as a result of corruption crimes remains one of the priority tasks of the participating countries. It was noted that ARIN-WCA plays an important role in ensuring international cooperation on these issues, and the active exchange of experience between states contributes to strengthening the effectiveness of anti-corruption activities.
