In honor of World Football Day, a friendly match between football legends of Tajikistan and Russia was held at the Central Republican Stadium in Dushanbe. This was reported by the Football Federation of Tajikistan.
The match was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere, gathering many fans in the stands. The meeting ended with the victory of the Russian team with a score of 3:1.
The Russian national team included legendary football players who made a significant contribution to the development of Russian football: the famous goalkeeper Rinat Dasayev, midfielders Yegor Titov and Dmitry Alenichev, as well as Valery Shmarov, Sergey Kiryakov, Eldar Nizamutdinov and others.






The Tajikistan national team was represented by veterans of national football, known for their performances for clubs and the national team in different years. They warmly welcomed the guests, demonstrated a technical and beautiful game.
Oleg Divichenko opened the scoring in the 14th minute, putting the Russians ahead with a precise strike. Andrey Murnin doubled the lead before the break. The Tajik team's return goal was scored by Sukhrob Khamidov in the 44th minute, but the final score of 3:1 in favor of the Russian team was set by Sergey Kiryakov in the 58th minute of the match.
The match organisers emphasised the symbolic significance of the game, which was dedicated to World Football Day, established by a resolution of the UN General Assembly on the initiative of the President of the Football Federation of Tajikistan, the President of the Central Asian Football Association (CAFA), the Chairman of the Majlisi Milli Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Mayor of Dushanbe, the respected Rustam Emomali.
The match was not only a sporting event, but also an act of cultural and national unity, demonstrating that football remains a powerful force for international friendship and mutual understanding.
