A large-scale health campaign "Caravan of Health" was held in the village of Ovchikalacha, B. Gafurov district, Sughd region, within the framework of which 521 local residents received free medical care. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Health of Tajikistan
The event was organized on the initiative of the Sughd Clinical Endocrinology Center and the Healthy Lifestyle Development Center with the support of the Regional Health Department. Doctors of various specialties were involved in the event – endocrinologists, cardiologists, neurologists, obstetricians-gynecologists and therapists. All examinations were conducted using modern diagnostic equipment.





"As part of the campaign, patients received consultations and were examined by specialists. Based on the results of the examinations, five people with disabilities and people in need of additional assistance were taken under observation. A number of residents were sent for further dispensary treatment," the Health Department reported.
In addition, the staff of the Healthy Lifestyle Development Center conducted informational and explanatory work among the population on issues of personal hygiene, prevention of infectious diseases and obesity, as well as the basics of healthy eating. Residents were given information leaflets and memos.





As noted by the department, holding such events contributes to the early detection of diseases and increases the health literacy of the population in remote and border villages of the region. Residents were grateful for the initiative, noting the high level of organization and qualifications of medical personnel.
