In the capital of Tajikistan, 54-year-old resident of Dushanbe Muzafar Yakubov was brought to administrative responsibility for fortune telling and witchcraft. This was reported by the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Dushanbe.
Law enforcement agencies identified Yakubov's illegal actions by employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Department No. 2 in the Firdavsi district. During the investigation, it was established that the man received citizens at his home and provided them with fortune-telling services, which is prohibited by law.
An administrative protocol was drawn up against Yakubov under Article 482 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Tajikistan. The court found the man guilty and sentenced him to a fine of 80 calculated indicators, which is equivalent to 6 thousand somoni.
The case highlights the country's law enforcement efforts to combat illegal activities aimed at misleading citizens and disrupting public order.
