The Youth Forum of Central Asian States and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states will be held in Dushanbe from May 21 to 24, 2025. This was reported by NIAT Khovar with reference to the Committee for Youth and Sports under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The Forum, as a cross-border youth platform, aims to expand regional and international cooperation of the younger generation, present its potential and opportunities, and encourage joint initiatives in the most important areas of sustainable development, innovation, environment, sports, culture, and strengthen friendly relations between the states of the two regions.
The Youth Forum is seen as an important strategic step in strengthening ties between the young generation of Central Asia and the Gulf Cooperation Council member states. Holding such events not only promotes cooperation between young people, but also gives new impetus to the development of public diplomacy and strengthening friendship and solidarity between states.
The forum was proposed and supported at the initiative of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon at the first Summit of the Heads of State of Central Asia and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), which took place in July 2023 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
