The Representative Office of the Ministry of Labor, Migration and Employment of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Russian Federation reported on the heroic act of Tajik labor migrant Sayvali Khudoydodovich Sharipov in the city of Yekaterinburg.
On May 14, 2025, at about 7:12 p.m., a man in a pharmacy heard the cries of a small child and immediately rushed to help. Approaching the scene, he entered the burning house through a window and saved the first child, who was in close proximity to the fire.
The child feebly reported that there was another brother left in the house. Without thinking, Sharipov re-entered the burning building, overcoming the smoke and flames, and saved the second child, who was unconscious due to the heat and smoke.
Soon, eyewitnesses reported that there was another teenager inside the house. Despite the heavy smoke and the threat to his own life, the Tajik migrant made a third visit to the house and managed to rescue the third child from the fire. At that moment, the flames engulfed another part of the building, but the man was able to leave the burning house alive.
Representatives of the Ministry of Labor, Migration and Employment of the Republic of Tatarstan in the Russian Federation noted that the act of Sayvali Khudoydodovich is an example of the highest humanism and valor. Despite the danger to his own life, he saved the lives of three children, earning the gratitude and respect of local residents and social media users.
In a conversation with the Ministry's employees, Sharipov emphasized: "I have lived in this area for many years, and people know me here. I considered it my duty to help, and I am sure that anyone would have done the same in my place."
After the information was released in the media, the man contacted the parents of the rescued children and received words of support. The father of one of the children said: "It is the duty of every Tajik to do good, to show courage and valor. You did the right thing."
