In his speech at the expanded meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in May 2023, he noted the importance of developing transport infrastructure, including improving border crossings and creating new roads and railway lines. The President emphasized that the development of transport diplomacy and the creation of an effective transport system are key factors for increasing Tajikistan's competitiveness in the international arena.
Also, within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit, which took place in July 2024, Emomali Rahmon invited partners to join an agreement on creating favorable conditions for international road transport, which will significantly simplify the rules and procedures in the field of freight transport.
