Tajik schoolchildren won 12 medals at the International Olympiad "Al-Khwarazmi" that ended in the capital of Uzbekistan, Tashkent. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan.
As specified by the department, a team of 18 students represented the country in the disciplines of mathematics and information technology. Following the competition, Tajik schoolchildren won one gold, four silver and seven bronze medals. Compared to last year, the Tajikistan team improved its result, adding three additional medals to its collection.

The final stage of the prestigious Olympiad was held from May 7 to 13 in Tashkent and brought together hundreds of participants from eight countries. Earlier, on March 12, 2025, a national qualifying round was held in Tajikistan, following which the finalists were determined to participate in the international stage of the competition.
According to the organizers, the results of Tajik schoolchildren reflected the targeted work of the republic’s education system to support and develop gifted children, as well as the growth of competitiveness of Tajik students in the international arena.
As noted by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan, the success of the young intellectuals serves as confirmation of the high level of preparation of schoolchildren and the desire of Tajikistan to actively integrate into the global educational community, promoting science and innovation.
