In January-April 2025, 272,454 tourists visited the Khatlon region of Tajikistan, the tourism development department of the regional executive body reported. Compared to the same period in 2024, the increase in tourist flow was 133,548 people.
Of the total number of registered travelers, 248,591 are domestic tourists and 23,863 are foreign citizens. According to representatives of the tourism industry, the steady growth of interest in the region is due to the improvement of tourism infrastructure, as well as the active promotion of the cultural and historical heritage of the region.

139 natural tourist areas;
251 rest homes and sanatoriums;
142 restaurants and cafes;
45 museums;
19 travel companies;
128 teahouses;
371 ATMs providing banking services;
50 hostels and guest houses;
240 roadside toilets;
68 souvenir shops;
115 places of pilgrimage;
45 parks of culture and recreation and squares;
80 tourist signs;
26 tourist information centers.
These facilities serve tourists on a daily basis, offering both active recreation and educational routes, including cultural tours, pilgrimage trips and ethnotourism. The region continues to be one of the most attractive destinations for travelers in the republic.
