The President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon arrived in Moscow on a working visit to participate in the ceremonial events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. This was reported by the press service of the President of Tajikistan.
The President's plane landed at Vnukovo-2 Airport, where the Tajik leader was warmly and cordially greeted by representatives of the top leadership of the Russian Federation. The Russian side was represented at the reception by officials, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and other high-ranking guests.
During the visit, Emomali Rahmon will take part in festive events dedicated to the anniversary of the Victory. The program of the visit includes participation in the ceremonial parade on Red Square, the laying of wreaths at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, as well as a number of bilateral meetings with the leadership of the Russian Federation.
It is expected that during the talks, current issues of Tajik-Russian cooperation will be discussed, including interaction in the spheres of economy, security, labor migration and humanitarian ties.
Tajikistan and Russia are strategic partners, and the interaction between the two countries is traditionally trusting and constructive. The visit of the Head of State of the Republic of Tajikistan underlines the high level of bilateral relations and the desire for their further development.
