On May 7, 2025, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Mukhriddin held a meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Tajikistan Jeong Song Shik. At the meeting, the parties discussed a wide range of issues related to bilateral cooperation, including current and prospective areas of interaction in various fields.
Sirojiddin Mukhriddin and John Song Shik touched upon the implementation of social and economic projects, as well as priority areas of cooperation within the framework of the Central Asia – Republic of Korea Cooperation Forum.
The parties expressed satisfaction with the current level of bilateral relations and confirmed their readiness to continue deepening cooperation between the two countries. In particular, possible projects aimed at improving infrastructure, developing technologies, as well as humanitarian aid and sharing experience were discussed.
An important topic was the prospects for cooperation in the field of sustainable development and the economy, with an emphasis on strengthening cooperation in areas such as trade, investment, education and culture.
Mukhriddin and Song Shik emphasized the importance of further work within the framework of existing bilateral agreements and arrangements that contribute to strengthening friendly ties between Tajikistan and the Republic of Korea.
