On the eve of the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, war veterans living in the city of Gissar were presented with gifts from the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon in the amount of 50 thousand somoni each, the Executive Authority of the city of Gissar reported.
On May 7, the Chairman of the city of Gissar, member of the Majlisi Milli of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan Nosirzoda Jabbor, together with the representative of the Executive Office of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Zulfiya Davlatzoda, visited the participants of the Great Patriotic War – Rajab Usmonov from the village of Khayoti Nav and Karim Rashid from the village of Shokhambari.








The veterans were given cash gifts on behalf of the President of Tajikistan in the amount of 50 thousand somoni each, as well as additional gifts from local authorities – 10 thousand somoni each.
Government representatives warmly congratulated the veterans on the Victory anniversary, wishing them good health, longevity, family well-being and a peaceful sky above their heads.
The veterans, in turn, expressed deep gratitude for the attention and care from the head of state, wished him health, success in his government activities and further prosperity for Tajikistan.
As part of the visit, a festive program was held in the courtyards of veterans, organized by students of the Presidential School for Gifted Children in the city of Gissar and the private school "Nuri Irfon". Wartime songs, patriotic compositions and poems about the Motherland were performed.
