As part of the events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, the Chairman of the Khatlon Region Davlatali Said, the Mayor of the city of Bokhtar and a representative of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan visited one of the oldest veterans of the republic – 102-year-old war participant Zaynullo Aliyev, the press service of the regional administration reports .
During the visit, government officials expressed deep gratitude and respect for the veteran's feat, noting his outstanding contribution to the common Victory over fascism. On behalf of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, the veteran was presented with a one-time financial aid.





In addition, by order of the Chairman of the Khatlon Region, eight war veterans and disabled people living in the region were given payments of 10,000 somoni each. Zainullo Aliyev, as the oldest participant, was additionally awarded 50,000 somoni. The Bokhtar City Administration also provided financial support.
The veteran was presented with a jubilee medal from the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Tajikistan, established in honor of the 80th anniversary of the Victory.
Addressing the veteran, Davlatali Said emphasized that the feat of Zaynullo Aliyev and his generation will forever remain in the memory of the nation: "Your courage, heroism and dedication are inscribed in golden letters in the heroic chronicle of history. These examples serve as an important guideline for instilling in young people a sense of patriotism and loyalty to the Motherland."






In response, the veteran expressed gratitude to the head of state and the country's leadership for their constant care, emphasizing that attention to veterans is a reflection of state policy based on respect for history, national pride and human values.
According to official data, during the Great Patriotic War, about 300 thousand people were mobilized from Tajikistan to the front. More than 90 thousand of them died. Only a few participants of that war remain alive today. The government of the republic provides them with constant support, providing decent living conditions and medical care.
