A training seminar was held in the city of Bokhtar in the Khatlon region with the participation of 185 obstetricians and gynecologists, organized by specialists from the Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences of the Islamic Republic of Iran. This was reported by the press center of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The training event, which took place at the B. Vokhidov Regional Clinical Hospital, was aimed at raising the level of professional training of medical personnel, improving the quality of medical care for women and children, and reducing maternal and infant mortality.
The seminar was attended by heads of maternity wards, intensive care units, specialists from reproductive health centers and practicing obstetricians and gynecologists. Iranian doctors presented current data and clinical recommendations on the prevention of complications during pregnancy and childbirth, first aid to pregnant women, and on the organization of perinatal care.







According to the organizers, during the seminar, foreign specialists also assessed the health of several pregnant women who were being monitored in medical institutions in the region.
As the Ministry of Health of Tajikistan emphasized, strengthening international cooperation, sharing experience and improving the qualifications of doctors remain a priority of state policy in the field of healthcare. Particular attention is paid to issues of protecting the health of mothers and children, which is facilitated by such practical initiatives with the participation of foreign partners.
The seminar became part of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Iran in the field of medicine and training of specialists.
