In the Ayni district of the Sughd region, work has begun on paving the Zarafshon-Iskandarkul road, 33 kilometers long. The project is being implemented as part of preparations for the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan, on the instructions of the President of the country Emomali Rahmon. This was reported by the press service of the Sughd region administration.
The official ceremony to launch the works was held with the participation of the Chairman of the Sughd Region, Rajabboy Akhmadzoda, who noted the importance of reconstructing the transport artery both for the local population and for the development of the tourism industry.

"Ayni District has great tourism potential. Iskandarkul is one of the most visited and picturesque places in the country. Reconstruction of this road will create additional conditions for attracting tourists and improve logistics for local residents," the head of the region emphasized.
The road starts from the 104th kilometer of the Dushanbe-Chanak highway and goes to the village of Saratog. The entire route extends through mountainous terrain and is of great economic importance for the region.

Construction and asphalting works are carried out by the limited liability company "Talco Gold". It is expected that the modernization of the road infrastructure will contribute to the improvement of the transport accessibility of the area and stimulate the development of small and medium businesses, including in the tourism sector.
The project is being implemented as part of a nationwide program to prepare for the anniversary of independence, which includes large-scale construction and infrastructure activities throughout the country.
