Police officers have uncovered several cases of theft committed in various regions of Tajikistan, the press center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic reports.
A 53-year-old local resident filed a complaint with the Gissar City Department of Internal Affairs, reporting that on May 1 of this year, unknown persons stole one head of cattle tied to the bank of the Kafirnigan River. The damage amounted to 15 thousand somoni. During the operational search activities, it was established that a minor (17 years old), as well as young people aged 23, 25 and 28, all living in Gissar, were involved in the crime.
In addition, a 23-year-old resident of the Gulbutta mahalla was detained in Dushanbe on suspicion of committing theft. According to the investigation, on April 28 at about 04:30 he stole a motorcycle from a 35-year-old city resident. The amount of damage was 20 thousand somoni.
Another theft has been solved in the Sughd region. A 25-year-old resident of the city of Kanibadam, suspected of embezzling money, has been detained. According to investigators, on April 25 at about 10:45 p.m. she stole 10,000 somoni from a BYD car parked on Somoni Street in the village of Gafurov.
A criminal case has been opened on the latest incident under Part 1 of Article 244 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Tajikistan, and an investigation is underway.
