As a result of an inspection conducted by a working group of the Dushanbe Department of Internal Affairs, a fact of illegal consumption of electricity by a resident of the capital was revealed. This was reported on Thursday by the press service of the Dushanbe Department of Internal Affairs.
According to the department, 55-year-old Dushanbe resident Akhmedov Makhmadamon connected the electricity supply to his home without permission, bypassing the metering device, thereby violating the norms for the use of electrical energy established by law.
"Citizen Akhmedov, contrary to the requirements of the law, used electricity without a meter for a certain period of time. As a result, the state suffered damages in the amount of 8,673 somoni," the law enforcement agency said in a statement.
Based on the results of the inspection, an administrative protocol was drawn up against the violator under Article 382 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Tajikistan. The case materials were submitted to the court for an appropriate decision.
Law enforcement agencies remind citizens of the need to strictly adhere to the rules for using public utilities and warn that such violations entail liability in accordance with current legislation.
