A ceremonial event dedicated to the International Navruz holiday was held at the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Republic of Belarus. Representatives of the International Public Association of Tajiks "Somoniyon", students from Tajikistan studying at Belarusian universities, as well as invited guests took part in the festive ceremony. This was reported by the diplomatic mission of Tajikistan.
In his welcoming speech, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Republic of Belarus Bakhtovar Safarzoda noted the special significance of the Navruz holiday in the cultural and spiritual life of the Tajik people. He emphasized the historical contribution of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon to the revival of Navruz and giving it international status.



"Navruz is a symbol of peace, kindness and mutual understanding. It unites people of different cultures and religions, inspiring creation and cooperation," Safarzoda said.
In his speech, the diplomat also spoke about Tajikistan's achievements in the years of independence and called on the Tajik diaspora in Belarus to more actively participate in public life, maintain ties with their historical homeland and contribute to strengthening bilateral relations between Tajikistan and Belarus. He paid special attention to the issues of educating young people in the spirit of patriotism and preventing involvement in radical movements.
As part of the event, an exhibition was organized, which presented books by the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, traditional embroidery – suzani, handicrafts, as well as a festive table with the symbols of Navruz – "Haft Sin" and "Haft Shin".


Guests were treated to national dishes, including the famous Tajik "Oshi palav", which has become an integral part of the festive culture and culinary heritage of Tajikistan.
The event took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere, reflecting the spirit of hospitality and respect for cultural traditions.
