The activities of a retail outlet selling low-quality alcoholic beverages have been suspended in Dushanbe. This was reported by the press center of the Department of Internal Affairs for the city of Dushanbe.
According to law enforcement agencies, the owner of the outlet located at 75 S. Aini Street, Mustafo Rakhimov, born in 1977, has been convicted of violating the law again. He had previously been charged by officers of the Shokhmansur District OMVD-2 for selling alcoholic beverages to minors.
Despite the administrative measures taken against him, Rakhimov continued his illegal activities, selling low-quality alcoholic beverages for the purpose of obtaining financial gain.
As a result of the inspection, it was established that after consuming the said products, a number of young citizens found themselves in a state of severe alcohol intoxication. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, it was they who subsequently violated public order and the peace of citizens, which caused a wide public outcry.
Due to the violations identified, the outlet's operations have been temporarily suspended, and an administrative protocol has been drawn up against Rakhimov. The case materials have been forwarded to the relevant authorities for further action.
The Dushanbe Department of Internal Affairs noted that control over the sale of alcoholic beverages, especially in terms of their quality and preventing sales to minors, remains one of the priority areas of work for the capital's law enforcement agencies.
