A meeting of the Government of the country was held in Dushanbe under the chairmanship of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Chairman of the Government Emomali Rahmon. The main focus of the meeting was on issues of industrial development, fiscal policy and rational use of land resources. This was reported by the press service of the head of state.
Among the key topics discussed was the draft investment agreement between the Government of Tajikistan and the Consortium of Investors headed by the Industrial Development Center LLC for the implementation of the project “Creation of a textile cluster of groups of companies in the Republic of Tajikistan”.





As noted by the Chairman of the State Committee for Investments and State Property Management Sulton Rahimzoda, the project is aimed at promoting the industrialization of the country, developing the agro-industrial complex, creating modern production facilities and complete processing of cotton within the republic. As a result of the project, it is planned to create over 5,500 new jobs.
Following the discussion, the draft investment agreement was approved and recommended for signing with subsequent submission to the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The meeting also considered the draft Law of the Republic of Tajikistan "On Amendments and Additions to the Tax Code", which, as emphasized, is aimed at finding additional sources of revenue for the state budget. The draft was approved and submitted for consideration to the lower house of parliament.





In addition, members of the Government made decisions on issues of effective land management and control over the rational use of land resources.
At the end of the meeting, Emomali Rahmon instructed the responsible structures to step up preparations for the celebration of the 35th anniversary of State independence, focusing on improvement, spring field work and the implementation of previous government decisions.
