The Tajik Defense Ministry reported that the spring 2025 conscription was completed 100% ahead of schedule. The conscription, which began on April 1, was supposed to continue until the end of May, but thanks to the coordinated work of local authorities and other interested structures, it ended on the 30th day.
The call-up concerned citizens aged 18 to 27 (born between 1998 and 2007), as well as older men who were not entitled to a deferment.
The active participation of government agencies, including the Committee for Youth and Sports, which carried out preparatory activities, campaigning and informational and educational work among citizens, played a significant role in the success of the draft. Work was also intensified to explain the importance of the draft, which made it possible to attract a large number of volunteers, including young people with higher education, as well as sons of high-profile officials and graduates of educational institutions that train specialists for the army.
The conscription was organized within the framework of the decree of the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon on the conscription of citizens into the army and was carried out in accordance with the requirements of the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On military duty and service”.
At the same time, the conscription process itself was marked by a high level of responsibility on the part of citizens, many of whom noted that the state actively supports the armed forces and creates the best conditions for service.
