On May 1, on the night of Thursday, the Russian army carried out another attack on Ukraine, striking Odessa with drones. As a result of the strike, at least two people were killed and five more were injured. This was reported by the head of the Odessa Regional Military-Civil Administration (OVA) Oleg Kiper.
According to him, residential high-rise buildings, private houses, a supermarket, a school and cars were damaged in the city. Fires broke out in several places, which are currently being extinguished by rescuers. Kiper noted that doctors are providing the necessary assistance to the victims.

Odessa Mayor Gennady Trukhanov also reported destruction in various areas of the city and damage to civilian infrastructure. His report noted that an elderly couple living on the top floor of one of the houses had not been in touch. Their children reported no contact, which was a cause for serious concern.
In addition, Russian drone attacks have affected other regions of Ukraine. Kharkiv Mayor Igor Terekhov reported that a UAV had hit the city's Kyivsky district, causing a fire at a gas station. At the time of publication, there were no casualties reported in Kharkiv.

The Ukrainian Air Force also reported Russian attacks in other regions, including Kropyvnytskyi, Sumy, Poltava, Zaporizhia and Donetsk regions. Details of these attacks remain unknown.
Russian attacks on Ukrainian cities and civilian infrastructure continue almost daily, despite more than three years of aggressive war.
