A resident of the capital of Tajikistan contacted the police after receiving repeated offensive messages from an unknown man, the press service of the Dushanbe Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported .
According to the department, the duty unit received a statement from a resident of the city of Dushanbe, who asked to take action against an unknown man who regularly sent her offensive messages and made annoying calls via the WhatsApp messenger.
As a result of operational activities, the Criminal Investigation Department officers established the identity of the perpetrator. He turned out to be a 32-year-old resident of the Aini district – Khodjiboy Eshmirzoev. During the investigation, the applicant's arguments were confirmed: despite the fact that the woman is married and has repeatedly asked him to stop his obsessive behavior, Eshmirzoev continued to send her obscene and derogatory messages.
Following the investigation, the court imposed an administrative fine on Eshmirzoev in the amount of 10 calculated indicators – 750 somoni.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs reminded that any form of psychological pressure and harassment in the digital space is considered a violation of the law, and appropriate measures will be taken against violators.
